Have you every wondered what your child was learning from Number Corner? In first grade we do Number Corner every morning. There are many math skills developed and practiced by doing these activities daily. Watch just a few of the skills we have learned this year.
Mrs. Benson's Texas Book
This is a book our class wrote in interactive writing based on the book I'm Going to Texas. We hope you enjoy it and learn a lot about Texas too.
Mrs. Barlow's Math Riddles
Mrs. Barlow's first grade class has been studying properties of solid figures in math class. Each student then made a powerpoint presentation of a selected shape. Slides were created by the student giving characteristics of the targeted figure before it was eventually named on the closing slide. In finishing, all of the individual powerpoints were combined in this class production. We hope that you enjoy their hard work.
